Brees and Other Ailing QBs Cautious On Comebacks

A quarterback who can be counted on returning for his team's preseason opener is New Orleans' Drew Brees. The Saints kick off their preseason Saturday night in Nashville, Tenn. against the Titans, and Brees, despite his offseason shoulder surgery, is expected to be behind center, a Saints official said Monday.

Brees has looked strong this summer and has validated the Saints' decision to pursue him. Soon enough, but not necessarily this weekend, it's going to be time for defenses to start pursuing all these high-profile quarterbacks. Read more
