Brandon Jacobs Impressive In Preseason

Brandon Jacobs, the Giants backup tailback, looks to be in top form this preseason. By halftime of Thursday night's game against the Patriots, Jacobs had scampered his way to 98 yards and a TD on just 10 carries. His first TD of the night comming after breaking a tackle and making a nice cut up the middle to free himself for a 57 yard TD. He continued to dominate the field in the second half to tack on another TD from 3 yards out for a total of 5TDs for the '06 preseason thusfar.

Fantasy Spin: Jacobs, the Giants second-year tailback out of Southern Illinois, is great insurance for Tiki Barber owners. Potentially, Jacobs could become the future starting running back of the N.Y. Giants either through injury to Barber or progression. He's a force at 260+ pounds. In 2006 look for him to take 5-7 TDs from Tiki Barber around the goaline.
