The #1 Keepers: Quarterback

Peyton Manning, Indianapolis: While his reputation might be a bit soiled after a loss to the Steelers and some negative comments he made about his offensive line after the contest, Manning remains the top quarterback in Fantasy Football. He threw for the second-most touchdowns (28) in the league and if the past is an indicator, he will produce 35-40 scores next season.

Dan Marino and Kurt Warner, who were the two quarterbacks to throw 40-plus touchdowns in a season before Manning, both recorded the second-most scores in their careers in the second season after their first 40-score season. Marino threw 48 touchdowns in 1984, fell to 30 in 1985, but came back to toss 44 in 1986. Warner recorded 41 touchdowns in 1999, fell to 21 in 2000, but bounced back for 36 in 2001.

That's a positive for Manning, who is the top option in both seasonal and keeper formats at the position.
