LaDainian Tomlinson Update
The Chargers have no plans to play perennial Pro Bowl running back LaDainian Tomlinson in their final two preseason games, against Seattle on Saturday night and at San Francisco on Friday, Sept. 1st. San Diego coach Marty Schottenheimer hasn't made it official, but he has openly hinted that he is strongly leaning to not playing Tomlinson in the next two weeks. ... As it stands now, Tomlinson hasn't been tackled after a preseason handoff since the summer of 2004. He had only one carry throughout all of last preseason -- and that went 55 yards during San Diego's second preseason against St. Louis for a touchdown.
