Giant's Michael Jennings Has The Wheels For Speacial Teams

Keeping Michael Jennings for his return skills could make the Giants backup defensive back R. W. McQuarters, an experienced returner, more expendable. And it could force the Giants to ponder the role of Chad Morton, the first-team returner for punts and kickoffs. Morton is considered a running back, but he has not carried the ball in an N.F.L. game since 2003 and is not listed among the top five running backs on the team’s latest depth chart. “For a guy that’s trying to make the team and there’s one slot left, who do you go with?” McQuarters asked. “Do you go with the guy who can do more, that can do two or three jobs, or the guy that can do one job?”
